Must trade deficits be funded by imported capital?

KevinStud99 asked:

Everyone knows wealth is created and money is created. So why do so many people repeat the mantra that foreigners must fund the trade deficit (or current account deficit)? Isn’t that an obsolete zero-sum mentality? Why can’t it be funded by internally-created money based on real productive wealth-creation?
Wrong Meg. The supply of US dollars held outside the US by foreign entities has grown over time (immensely, over the long term), which necessarily means that not all dollars are repatriated, which I suspect proves my point.

Yes Democrats, this is a real question.
I don’t seem to be getting any constructive answers. Only “If Obama is a Marxist, so is McCain!”. Talk about answering a question without answering a question…

Can people born into wealth really be happy?

St. Louis Girl asked:

If someone is born into wealth, what is there for them to aspire for? They probably won’t have to work a day in their lives. They have anything they want handed to them. Sounds great in theory, but I would think it would make me feel very empty with no real purpose in life. Where is there to go from there? I would think it would be most fulfilling in that situation to do charital work, but how many wealthy people really do that. Am I way off base here?

Has anyone heard of the wealth architecture group? Are they legit?

John D asked:

They look for investors to put down around $1k and then they pay all closing and cut you a $10k check at closing. You get about 5% equity up front in the house and have the right to sell the property or rent it out. They have a property management company secured to make sure rent covers mortgage. I’m looking for people who really know about this stuff. I don’t want people to say “ooooh that sounds scary” or “ooooh I think it’s a scam”. Please only respond if you have real estate experience or have actually heard of the company.

Thanks
